  • Prices: Flexible $249 a month plus 5% per order. Flat Rate $499 a month. Guests pay a 5% order support fee on both. No setup fee or processing rate is listed.
  • At $10,000 a month online, Flexible costs $749 and Flat Rate $499. Guests pay $500 in support fees. Orderitto is $149 or $249 flat with no guest fee, after a one-time setup fee.

  • Praise: fast setup, support, and fewer orders through delivery apps. Complaints: the $499 price, delivery dispatch charges, onboarding, promotions sent without approval, limited customization.

Is Owner.com a POS?

Owner POS: new, unpriced, and no offline mode yet

For years Owner.com sat on top of your POS. Now it sells its own: Restaurant Business reported on August 28, 2026 that Owner “also recently launched a POS system.” Here is what Owner's own pages say, read on October 17, 2026.

What Owner POS is

Owner's POS page calls it “the POS built to bring your customers back.” Guests enter a phone number at checkout to earn loyalty points. They get a text to download the branded app and join Owner's marketing. In-store, online and delivery orders share one menu, one customer list and one dashboard. “Point of Sale” and “Owner Agent” both carry a New label in Owner's navigation.

What it costs

No price is published. The POS page's FAQ says pricing depends on your current order volume. You get a quote on request. Hardware is mentioned, but no devices are named. Setup takes a few business days after hardware arrives, in one remote session. Billing is month to month with no cancellation fees.

The offline gap, in Owner's words

Owner's blog post on the best POS for small business was published May 27, 2026 and updated September 23, 2026. It says Owner POS “does not currently support offline mode.” Orders cannot be taken or queued if your main internet goes down. It also says Owner's design and sales engine “comes with some customization tradeoffs.” Ask what the fallback is before you move your counter to it.

Which outside POS systems Owner connects to

Owner's online ordering page says “We have native integrations with Square and Clover.” It adds “We also connect to many POS systems through Otter.” Its POS integrations page lists Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed “and more.” Dated reviews from 2025 and 2026 mention menu sync trouble with Toast and Square. Ask for the exact sync method for your POS in writing.

Praise and complaints, quoted with dates

Every quote below links to the page it was read from. Reviewer names are as the review sites show them. Nothing here is paraphrased from a competitor's blog.

What owners praise

“For the price I am paying, the AI friendly website was quickly built and all my online ordering system and 3rd party delivery was set up.”

“Owner was able to produce a better version of our previous website and app, for cheaper than we were paying before.”

The same review adds: “more advanced customization isn't possible on your own or at all in some cases.”

What owners complain about

“Since moving from my own SEO-optimized website to Owner.com's backend, my sales have dropped significantly—by at least $6,000 in the first month alone.”

“Delivery orders received were .5-1.5 miles away, so we got a bit frustrated our in house drivers did not get to deliver these orders and on top of that there is a charge added to have Uber/DD deliver.”

“In addition to the $500 monthly subscription, customers are being charged platform fees that add up to an additional $400–$500 per week.”

Another reviewer: “Owner.com has tons of automated campaigns that give customers awesome discounts... the business owner has ZERO control over what the promotion is.”

“They are way too overpriced, and do not deliver.”

1 star, August 22, 2026. An earlier one: “they charge me $500 per month and no orders at all” (1 star, May 8, 2025).

Google's #1 result for this search is a Reddit r/restaurantowners thread, “Owner.com - Is anyone using it?”, about two years old. The top comments Google showed on October 17, 2026: “Waaaaaay too over priced. $6k a year for what?” and “They charge a 5% ordering fee to your customers from your own site.” Reddit blocks automated reading, so those are as shown in Google's listing.

Why the fee stack matters

The numbers behind the decision

Each figure below is cited to its public source.

$249 + 5% or $499

Owner.com lists two month-to-month plans: Flexible at $249 a month plus a 5% restaurant fee per order, and Flat Rate at $499 a month, which Owner says is best for restaurants at $5k+ a month in online sales.

5%

Guests ordering from a restaurant's own Owner.com site pay a 5% order support fee at checkout on both plans. At $10,000 a month in direct sales that is $500 a month added to your customers' orders.

Who should pick which

A fair verdict

Owner.com fits when

You do $5,000 or more a month online. You want a website, SEO pages, an app and marketing built and run for you. You will act on what the marketing engine produces. Most of the dated five-star reviews come from owners who wanted all of that in one bill.

Look elsewhere when

You already have a website that ranks. You run your own drivers. Or $499 a month plus a 5% guest fee is hard to justify before volume arrives. Those three situations sit behind most of the dated complaints.

Orderitto fits when

You want branded web ordering on a flat $149 a month, or web and app ordering on Pro at $249. No per-order platform fee, no guest fee. You are fine paying a one-time setup fee. You do not need SEO pages built for you.

Before you sign either

Get four things in writing: the card processing rate, the POS sync method, who owns the domain and customer list when you leave, and the delivery dispatch rules. Those four explain most of the surprises in the reviews above.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Owner.com per month?

Owner.com lists two plans as of October 17, 2026. Flexible is $249 a month plus a 5% restaurant fee on every order. Flat Rate is $499 a month with no restaurant fee. Owner says Flat Rate suits restaurants doing $5,000 or more a month online. On both plans your guests pay a 5% order support fee at checkout. No setup fee and no card processing rate are listed.

Is Owner.com a legit company?

Yes. Owner.com, Inc. has a Better Business Bureau profile with an A+ rating, not accredited, opened February 3, 2025. Capterra shows 113 reviews at 4.6 out of 5. Trustpilot shows 2.5 from only 5 reviews. The complaints are about price, delivery dispatch and onboarding. None say the company is fake.

What is Owner.com and how does it work?

Owner.com builds a restaurant a website with online ordering and a branded app. It adds automated SEO pages, loyalty, and email and text marketing. The restaurant pays a monthly fee. Guests order from the restaurant's own site instead of a delivery app and pay a 5% order support fee. Owner says a specialist handles setup and migration and support runs 24/7.

Is Owner.com a POS?

Yes, now. Restaurant Business reported on August 28, 2026 that Owner “also recently launched a POS system.” Owner POS is marked New in Owner's navigation. It is quoted on order volume with no public price. Owner's own May 2026 blog post says it does not currently support offline mode. Owner also still connects to outside POS systems: native integrations with Square and Clover, and connections to Toast, Lightspeed and others, some through Otter.

What do Owner.com reviews say is good?

The dated Capterra reviews praise fast setup, a website built for the owner, and responsive support. Several say fewer orders now go through commission apps. One December 2025 reviewer said Owner was cheaper than the Toast website and app it replaced. Software Advice shows 95 of 113 reviewers gave five stars.

What are the most common Owner.com complaints?

Price is the main one. $499 a month feels steep to small restaurants before volume arrives. A July 2026 Capterra review reports delivery orders a mile away sent to Uber or DoorDash drivers with a charge. A January 2026 review reports a sales drop after moving an already-ranking website. Others cite limited customization and promotions sent without approval. Trustpilot's four one-star reviews repeat the price complaint.

Is Owner.com worth it?

It can be. The fit is a restaurant doing more than $5,000 a month online that will use the marketing bundle. At $10,000 a month, Flexible costs $749 and Flat Rate $499. Guests pay another $500 in support fees at checkout. A restaurant that only needs branded ordering pays $149 or $249 a month with Orderitto, with no guest fee, after a one-time setup fee.

Does Owner.com lock you into a contract?

No. Owner's pricing page says billing is month to month with no long-term contracts. Its FAQ says you can cancel at any time with no cancellation fees. Before signing, ask what happens to your domain, website and customer list if you leave.

Which is cheaper, Owner.com or Orderitto?

On monthly price, Orderitto. It is $149 or $249 flat. Owner is $249 plus 5%, or $499. Over a year at $10,000 a month, Owner Flat Rate is $5,988. Orderitto Pro is $4,287 including its $1,299 setup fee. Owner bundles more marketing for that money, so compare what you will actually use.

Want the flat-fee version of direct ordering?

See a branded ordering site at $149 a month, or site and app on Pro at $249. No per-order platform fee, no guest support fee, on your current POS.
